DISTINGUISH BETWEEN THE HOLY AND THE PROFANE

EZEKIEL 22:26, 28, 30-31

Her priests have done violence to My laws and have profaned My holy things; they have made no distinction between the holy and the profane, and they have not taught the difference between the unclean and the clean; and they hide their eyes from My Sabbaths, and I am profaned among them… Her prophets have smeared white wash for them, seeing false visions and divining lies for them, saying, ‘Thus says the Lord God’, when the Lord has not spoken.  The people of the land have practiced oppression and committed robbery, and they have wronged the poor and needy and have oppressed the sojourner without justice.  I looked for a man among them who would build up the wall and stand before me in the gap on behalf of the land so I would not have to destroy it, but I found none. So I will pour out my wrath on them and consume them with my fiery anger.”

In these days, all those who were to be God’s people had profaned what was holy.  They were blind and were not taught to discern between what is holy and what is profane.  They defiled God’s holy things by delivering false visions and lying divinations when the LORD had not spoken; they oppressed the poor, committed robbery, and wronged the sojourners and needy.  God searched in these days for a man among them to stand in the gap, but he did not find one.

Arise, brothers and sisters of the Lord- for it must not be this way among us!

Hear what the Lord has spoken,

EZEKIEL 36:24-27

24 For I will take you from the nations, gather you from all the lands and bring you into your own land.  25 Then I will sprinkle clean water on you, and you will be clean; I will cleanse you from all your filthiness and from all your idols.  26 Moreover, I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; and I will remove the heart of stone from your flesh and give you a heart of flesh.  27 I will put My Spirit within you and cause you to walk in My statutes, and you will be careful to observe My ordinances.”

Where do we see the Lord’s way profaned?  Who among us has false visions which the Lord has not spoken?  Where is the one who oppresses the poor and who turns away from the needy the Word of Life entrusted to our care?  It is the Lord who cuts off these unruly branches, and we must search that we have no part in such things!

This is to be the way of the Lord’s holy ones- for, “whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is of good repute; if there is any excellence and anything worthy of praise,” brethren, “dwell on these things” (Philippians 4:8)!

The gospel should be our courage; because it is true and honorable, pure, right, lovely and excellent.  It should be both our practice and our speech.  By it we bear fruit because the gospel, living and flowing from Christ, is what gives Light in our lamps!

For whoever removes it from his speech, or does not do the things of the Spirit of Life in Christ, this is one who does not have a part of the Body- how can He if He has not been raised to life in Christ?  And if He has been raised to life in Christ, how can He not do the things of Christ?

I would not be delivering the Word of God, brethren, if I lied among you and said that the profane and unholy have not entered among the Lord’s Holy Ones, for we must “beware of the false prophets, who come to [us] in sheep’s clothing, but are inwardly ravenous wolves” (Matthew 7:15).

2ND PETER 2:1-3

1 But false prophets also arose among the people, just as there will also be false teachers among you, who will secretly introduce destructive heresies, even denying the Master who bought them, bringing swift destruction upon themselves. 2 Many will follow their sensuality, and because of them the way of the truth will be maligned; 3 and in their greed they will exploit you with false words; their judgment from long ago is not idle, and their destruction is not asleep.”

We are not a temple made of brick and mortar; of hard and unhearing stone, brethren, for the Lord has sprinkled us clean with the water of His Holy Word.  He’s offered for us the sacrifice of His holy blood- of which, many trample under foot and receive in themselves the judgment and wrath of God (which is not asleep, brethren, I exhort you, it is not).

Compassion has been replaced by tolerance and whitewashed the sins of our day.  Worldly and material distractions of false successes have defiled our holy passion for worship in the Spirit and Truth.  The holy pillars of Truth in the church are crumbling under the decay of compromise within the LORD’s holy church!

But we are not a people without hope!  Nor are we left to distress; for we “smile at the future” because “Strength and dignity are our clothing” (Proverbs 31:25).  The Lord raised the temple in three days from dust and rubble, and the remnant of the Lord is strong!

Of this I am sure, the LORD’s judgment is not asleep, nor is it left sitting idly by.

In Jesus Christ the way of repentance and grace have been made known in Truth to those who would receive in them the resurrection of the Lord.

ROMANS 1:17 & JAMES 2:26

“For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith; as it is written, but the righteous shall live by faith”.

“For just as the body without the spirit is dead, so also faith without works is dead”

From the faith of Christ to our faith righteousness and life are made known to us, whose names are written in the Lamb’s book of life!  Whose inheritance is kept secure in Heaven, a place where Satan no longer enters down, being the morning star that was cast down upon the Earth- woe to the Earth!

For we know that without the spirit our bodies would surely die.  Therefore we live by faith.  For we know that we have joined Christ in the likeness of His death- namely that we are dead to the flesh and its works- and also joined Him in His resurrection- namely that we live to Christ by the Spirit.

To the matter of our age I write to the brethren- anyone who would listen and believe- let us repent of the sins past, and turn from them; commit ourselves to stand firm in prayer, knowing that the time comes quickly upon us of the Lord’s return.

Spare nothing to assemble together and strengthen each other in these final times!  Let no distraction come in among us- for I am telling the Truth, the judgment of the Lord is not idle.

LUKE 21:34-36

“Be on guard, so that your hearts will not be weighted down with dissipation and drunkenness and the worries of life, and that day will not come on you suddenly like a trap; for it will come upon all those who dwell on the face of all the earth.  But keep on the alert at all times, praying that you may have strength to escape all these things that are about to take place, and to stand before the Son of Man.”
